About the Role
We're looking for a part-time, contract Fractional Writer to help shape the voice of Function across blog posts, LinkedIn content, newsletters, and case studies. You’ll help tell stories that educate, resonate, and convert.
What You'll Do
- Write high-quality content for founders, operators, and finance leads (think SEO blog posts, founder-focused explainers, newsletters, LinkedIn opinion pieces)
- Turn subject-matter expertise (internal conversations, audio transcripts, interviews) into clear, human content
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and leadership to support campaigns and brand goals
- Contribute to Function’s evolving voice and style
- Edit and proofread content for flow, clarity, and accuracy
You Might Be a Fit If You:
- Are a natural storyteller who’s obsessed with clarity and impact
- Have 5-10 years of experience writing for audiences (bonus if it’s in finance, SaaS, or founder content)
- Can make complex topics sound like a conversation, not a textbook
- Know your way around SEO, structure, headlines, and tone
- Are independent, proactive, and enjoy working with founders and builders
- Are available 5 hours/week to start, with flexibility to scale
Bonus Points For:
- Interviewing / reporting experience
- Experience writing for an early-stage brand voice
- Comfort with financial terminology, SaaS metrics, or startup growth topics
